The views from the penthouse were the kind that make you stop and stare, with boats along the shore and the islands north of Mauritius in sight. The shallow water stretches a long way out, so you'll need to walk a bit if you want to swim in deeper sea. Our apartment was roomy, comfortable, clean, and well kept. The units are privately owned and managed by LOV, and we met one of the owners from Scotland, who was super friendly. Staff were kind throughout. We had a rental car for exploring, though it seemed easy enough to manage on foot, by taxi, or by local bus. We'd love to return.

We were seven family members there in July 2024 and booked the penthouse. Both apartment bedrooms look out over the sea, and they were very clean and fully equipped. The outdoor space was fantastic too. Just bear in mind there's no lift. We were so glad we booked it, and I'd say go for it.

The location was nice, but the penthouse itself was in really tired condition. Several things were broken or difficult to use: the fridge only worked on one side, the stove couldn't be switched off once on, the microwave was dead, the safe wouldn't open, and the warped bathroom cupboard was stuck. The lounge was filthy and stained, and the toilet roll had fallen off the wall and was left on the floor. The beds were painfully hard, so we piled on sheets trying to make them more bearable. The balcony floor had peeled so badly that the whole area looked infected. For what this apartment costs, the condition was extremely disappointing and unacceptable.
