Anelia Resort & Spa

The grounds are full of lush green gardens, with two pools, including an infinity pool, and a natural sea pool just in front of the resort. Breakfast was included, varied and delicious, and the staff were great. Haris was especially fantastic and helped us a lot during our stay. We spent seven days at Anelia resort and spa and had a truly great experience. Highly recommended :)

The service was bad overall, though some staff were really sweet and nice. Room service could take 3-4 hours just to bring one bottle of water. The menu was very limited and nearly the same every other day. For our anniversary, a candlelight dinner was supposed to be arranged but never happened, even though my tour agency had been in touch and sent me screenshots showing they'd informed the hotel. It was disorganized and ruined the anniversary. I clearly ordered an anniversary cake but got a happy birthday cake instead. There were insects all over the rooms, including ants and lizards. Bathroom taps leaked, and room service only rinsed cups and the kettle instead of washing them. One day I had to leave early and asked if they could pack a small breakfast, but they rudely refused. This was one of the worst places I've stayed, with so many problems. Please think about staying somewhere else. What you pay here isn't worth it, since you could get a much better place for the same cost.

The team showed their thoughtfulness on our last day. We checked out at 11am, but our flight back to England was delayed. Management let us use a room later to shower and freshen up, and even offered us a meal since our pickup wasn't until late evening. We really appreciated that care. I also loved the personal touch of the manager coming to greet guests individually at dinner. The resort is beautiful, peaceful and never felt overcrowded or busy. The beachfront has calm, clear water and breathtaking sunsets, and it became our favourite place to sit in the evenings. Our room was spotless, with fresh water provided every day. The food was another highlight of our two-week stay. Meals never felt repetitive or boring, and there was always something delicious to look forward to. Dinner set up on the beach was especially memorable. From arrival, the staff and management went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for. Nothing was too much trouble, and their kindness made our holiday special. We can't recommend Anelia Resort & Spa highly enough, whether you're travelling as a couple, family or friends. We left with amazing memories and can't wait to return.

The food is simple and very tasty, and the atmosphere is comfortable, like home. The hotel is well designed, modern and interesting for a long stay. Rooms are very clean, and the staff are friendly and pleasant. I'm a loyal Anelia hotel resort customer and have had long stays during November. Things have improved since last year, although customer service was still good then. I wish the hotel staff the best and hope they keep progressing toward their long-term goals in Mauritius. I'd recommend new customers come and make great memories with family, friends and colleagues.
