We were dressed for an evening out, not in beachwear, and stopped by one night to ask if we could have a drink at the bar. We were staying at another hotel, and they turned us away. The bar and restaurant were empty, but without a day or evening pass we weren’t allowed in. We’ve never had this happen before. At places like La Piroque and Sugar Beach, you can go in for a sundowner. They should reconsider the policy, especially when the place is empty. Maybe it’s the service that explains it?!

The staff were really kind, and the reception team were very helpful. Mr Dutt the 'porter' was especially kind and helpful. But the food was horrible, and the rooms need small practical fixes. After I showered, water covered the area outside the bathroom and even reached the room. A small rubber piece was needed on the door. I had to change rooms twice, and it really put me in a bad mood. I’d been there for the third time and thought things might have improved after two years, but sadly they hadn’t. I had no choice but to go there. They should work on the food and those little things in the rooms instead of investing only in interior decor.

Our wedding at the hotel was more than outstanding. The ceremony took place on the beach and in the hotel’s outdoor area, and the staff did an amazing job looking after everything. They were always accommodating, so we could relax and enjoy our own wedding. A big thank you to our wedding planner Sandra!!!!! The service was outstanding, and the location was excellent.

The amenities were good, and we enjoyed a nice view of the beach, but our day package visit was disappointing. It felt like tourist residents were given priority over local guests. We had access to the same amenities, yet couldn’t dine in the upper part of the main restaurant with hotel residents. It seemed unnecessarily discriminatory, though I understood this was due to “special” arrangements. The owner also came over in person to ask when we planned to have lunch so he could arrange the tables. That felt awkward and unprofessional. We expected a welcoming, seamless experience, but left feeling like second-class guests, which affected our enjoyment of the day.
