You get what’s advertised, and the price reflects that. It was very comfortable, and Richard in management was likeable and helpful. A car would come in handy, but the bus stop is nearby and you can easily walk to two different beaches.

The host welcomed us and was very helpful, responding to all our requests. The location is five minutes from the beach, and the room was cleaned daily. The yard and swimming pool were impeccable too. We had a great time and recommend it.

Richard gave us a warm welcome. He’s friendly and always ready to help. Our two-room apartment was exactly as described: very large, clean, quiet, and protected by cameras. The pool was clean and long enough for swimming. The beds, though, were extremely hard, and the Wi-Fi in the apartment was slow, just 0.5 Mbps download. Also, the tennis court isn’t at the villa, it’s probably at the nearby Club Med. We enjoyed our four nights in the north of Mauritius, with its beaches, diving and snorkelling, and boat trips to small northern islands. But we had to leave four days before our booking ended. Before the stay, we’d called the owner to explain we needed to shorten it. He said it was no problem and that he’d refund the unused nights. Instead, he refunded only the amount he received from Expedia/Booking, using an MUR-to-euro exchange rate 5% below the bank’s average. We lost about 90 euros compared with cancelling for free and rebooking fewer nights. We could have done that, but didn’t because the owner had said he’d refund us anyway.

It’s quiet, well maintained, and has on-site personnel. Mont-Choisy public beach is within walking distance, and there’s a pool on the premises. Tennis courts are accessible in the adjacent villas. A bakery, pizzeria, and a few restaurants are also nearby.
