Le Pôle Résidence

We spent four days here for our honeymoon and had a really lovely time. The rooms were clean, and the cleaning ladies were lovely too. Luc and Valerie were very nice, and we especially loved the cocktails. The food was beyond excellent. We miss Le Pole, especially the food and drinks, and would definitely come back.

The staff were friendly, and the hotel had a personal feel, with billiards and a pool. Everything was fresh and nicely designed. We liked the location near the center and the beach we enjoyed most in Grand Baie, after trying the three we were recommended. Breakfast was good, and dinner was delicious if you like fish.

We arrived as 10 and left as 13 after three friends joined us for the last night. Luc and Veronique did everything they could to make it a memorable stay, and our rooms were a pleasant surprise: clean and spacious, with two deluxe and two family rooms. We were a pretty loud group, but Luc handled us with a great sense of humour. Breakfast was plenty to get the day started, and at Rs300/Aus$10 nobody had complaints. There was fruit juice, coffee including cappuccino, white, and espresso, pain au chocolat, croissants, jam, and eggs cooked however you liked. Thanks to Luc, Veronique, Anthony, Christien, and Sunita for a wonderful time at Le Pole. Luc, I’m very happy to recommend your guest house to family and friends from Australia, Reunion, and Mauritius. On behalf of my little family, a big thank you for an unforgettable stay at your establishment. We’ll be back, that’s certain.

Le Pôle is an honest 5/5 for me. It delivers more than you’d expect for the price, and I’d call it the best budget hotel in the North. My friend first suggested it as an affordable place with decent rooms and a nice pool, and he was right. The rooms have A/C, a bathroom, bed, sofa, TV, and WiFi. They’re roomy, and someone has clearly put effort into making them comfortable and nicely decorated. Breakfast is outstanding. I can’t stop eating even the simplest things there, and Le Pôle’s coffee was the first coffee I truly enjoyed. I celebrated my mum’s birthday here in 2018, and the veg pizza was mind-blowing. Worth eating here if you’re in the area. You can also rent an electric bike on the spot through Ilectrique Bike. I know and really like the owners, but this is an honest review of the hotel and attached pizzeria. They’re incredibly friendly, and Luc is one of the funniest people I know. Thankfully, he doesn’t charge for humour. Le Pôle has set my expectations unusually high.
