Seapoint Beach Bungalows

A small, lovely hotel with 22 rooms in northern Mauritius. It has a calm, relaxing feel, and the staff are friendly. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent. The rooms are bright and cheerful, and the bathrooms deserve special mention, they’re superb. The beach is picturesque and peaceful. I hope to return soon!

Our room was nicely set up, with a comfortable bed and an outstanding ocean view from the second floor. We could hear birds singing in the morning. The shower took a while to heat up, but was good once it did. The location has beautiful beach and turquoise water views, plus an infinity pool that seems to meet the ocean. We were on half board, with breakfast and dinner. The food was okay overall: there was only a small Mauritian section on the menu, and the other dishes tasted a bit bland to us. The Mauritian buffet one evening was the exception, it was amazing. Service was attentive but slow. Some snacks I ordered took 45 minutes, though I guess that’s island life. It was a good stay, and I’d recommend the hotel.

For a relaxed, quiet holiday, Seapoint Boutique Hotel is a great fit. There are only around 20 rooms, it’s adults only, and every room has a beautiful sea view. If you want more activities, though, the southwest between Le Morne and Flic en Flac may suit you better. The staff were extremely friendly, especially Alinia, Kunal, Olivier, and the rest of the team. Half board worked perfectly for us: breakfast was plentiful, dinner was excellent, with a daily menu and à la carte choices, and there was a small afternoon snack from 4pm to 5pm. On Thursday we were invited to a cocktail and a Mauritian dinner buffet.

We spent 11 nights at Seapoint Hotel and can’t recommend it enough. We’re already looking forward to returning. The whole staff made us feel welcome. Kunal and Olivier took great care of us at the bar and restaurants, with wonderful drinks and service throughout. Assim from housekeeping also deserves a mention for always checking that we had everything we needed. On our last day he made an amazing towel decoration as an anniversary surprise. It really made our trip. Thank you all, see you soon!
