This is an older-style auberge, conveniently close to the airport, with a very helpful host. They arranged a rental car for us at a reasonable rate. As a general note, it’s a small island, so wherever you stay you’re at most a two-hour drive from anywhere else. The main roads are good and easy to follow with Google Maps, though some village lanes are marked incorrectly.

A light breakfast is available, and it’s good value for money. The room was clean, the owner friendly, but there was no shower gel or shampoo in the bathroom. It’s convenient if you need to be near the airport. The bus station is nearby, and bus number 10 goes directly to the airport for 30 rupees, but only during the day. At other times you’ll need a taxi, which you can negotiate to around 15 euros/dollars. Agoda didn’t notify the owner of my arrival time, even though I’d entered it when booking. That could be an issue with a very late check-in, so I recommend contacting the owner directly.

I slept really well, the room was comfortable and had everything I needed. The owner was super friendly too, and even got up around 5:30am to make me coffee before my flight. Such a great guy.
