Tarisa Resort & Spa

We loved the beautiful beach and swam every day, it was hard to get enough of it. Most of the staff provided excellent service, especially Ravi & Kesaven, who made tasty cocktails. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and cleaned daily. The food was average and repetitive. One thing that made us feel unwelcome was the entertainment coordinator, who only catered to the French people.

Tarisa Hotel had a warm, welcoming atmosphere and was a lovely place to relax. The service was excellent, and the staff made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. Kamal at the bar deserves a special mention. He's friendly and professional, makes amazing drinks, and his positive attitude and attentive service really made us feel valued. I'd recommend stopping by and asking Kamal to make you a drink.

Arvin in the restaurant tried hard to take care of us and meet our needs, but we didn't get that kind of help elsewhere. Our family of eight, including two children under four, had a difficult long weekend from check-in to checkout. We won't be returning to this 3-star hotel soon, and it wasn't worth the money. There were some good points: the hotel is near Mont Choisy public beach, the property seems recently renovated, the pool area was clean for the kids, and the ground-floor housekeeper did a very good job. But the food choice was very limited, and there wasn't enough ready, so we had to wait for the chef to cook more. There were too many flies in the restaurant, and the music and activities were the same throughout our three days. We found the waiting staff quite rude. There was no complimentary water in the room.

The staff really made the stay for us. AARTI, MILAN, VIMAL, DIPTA, KESHAVEN, and ARVIN made us feel comfortable, VINOD is a magician in the kitchen, and AMBRA, who runs the entertainment, made our evenings delightful. The rooms were super comfortable, and the food was good, with Indian and continental choices. The waiters can speak Hindi and Bangla comfortably, which meant no language or food problem for Indian tourists. The property is right on a beach in the north, with a walk-in temple on the beach too. I'd strongly recommend staying here in Mauritius, and I'd choose it again if I come back.
