C Mauritius

The East coast setting felt quieter and more peaceful than the other side, and we had a memorable week at C Mauritius on the all-inclusive plan. The food was tasty and varied, with plenty of vegetarian and fish choices. Staff were kind and regularly checked whether we needed anything. The gym was much bigger and better equipped than I expected from the photos, with modern machines, and there were fitness classes too. I joined several led by Elodie, who was kind, knowledgeable, and professional. The spa was lovely as well, and my massage felt professional and worth the price. Thanks to Karen for answering our questions before we arrived, and to Souraj and Shane at the bar for keeping drinks on our table. The rest of the team were great too. I hope we can return.

The Asian restaurant was a favorite for lunch, with quick, tasty food and lovely views of the beach and lagoon. We also had delicious meals at the main restaurant, where service was attentive. Both evenings we enjoyed drinks at sunset by the beach bar. It would be more comfortable if waiters checked on the tables now and then, instead of having to go to the bar. Our garden-view room was cozy, clean, and nicely designed, close to the pool, which was handy with the kids. The welcome was warm, and the check-in explanation was thorough, though it took about an hour. We arrived at 1pm, before the 2pm check-in time, so some waiting made sense. Still, getting our room numbers sooner would have let us go to lunch while we waited. We stayed two nights at the end of April and had a lovely time. It's a fun place for families, with plenty for children to do, including the water trampoline, swings, and beach volleyball. The small suggestions didn't spoil our stay.

The food had lots of variety and was excellent, and we enjoyed both the pools and the spa during our two nights with family in January. We were on Half Board, so couldn't enjoy the drinks. It would be nice if a two-night all-inclusive option were available too. There were lots of families with children, and a kids club would have been a welcome addition. We had a great time.

The people here are what made our family holiday unforgettable. We were five, with children aged 5 to 15, and can't wait to return. Olivier, the General Manager, leads a team whose hospitality felt world-class. Tanvi at reception welcomed us warmly, and Petem kept our rooms spotless and comfortable throughout. Meals were a highlight. Julien ran the dining room so well, with Christianne, Kavish, and Zayrah helping make every meal enjoyable for the adults and kids. The chefs and cooks, including Obi, Sannam, and Hensley, served food with outstanding variety and flavor. Seilesh took great care of us at the beach restaurant. Viddam and Ashok were attentive with the children during water activities, and Megan in the e-zone was great to deal with. The resort itself is fantastic, but these individuals made it a holiday we'll remember.
