Our favorite was the Nirvana area. It's lovely, and the butlers there took care of everything we needed. The Marriott app doesn't explain the area clearly, so ask about it directly. We also loved the hotel's decorations and atmosphere for occasions like Valentine's Day and Chinese New Year. There was plenty to do, from tennis and archery to activities at the boat house. The gym was fully equipped, and my favorite spa feature was the snow room. Staff handled our questions and requests professionally and were very helpful. Sushi at Jade was amazing, beautifully served by Nalini. Our private dinner at Waves on the 15th was a great way to round off the trip, thanks to Nivis for arranging it. And a special thank you to Aziza in Guest Relations, who was so kind and wonderful throughout our stay. We had a really enjoyable time and will be back.

The room in the Nirvana section was beautifully designed and peaceful, a lovely place to relax. The hotel itself is stunning, and the staff made me feel valued from the moment we arrived, especially Jerome and Devraj, who went out of their way to make my special birthday feel perfect. The service made me feel like royalty. It was an unforgettable stay that I'll treasure, and I can't wait to return.

The team made my stay memorable with their kindness and hospitality, and I'd gladly return and recommend the resort to anyone visiting Mauritius. The rooms were consistently clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the staff were welcoming and professional from arrival to departure. I arrived before the 2:00 PM check-in time stated during booking, and my room wasn't ready yet, which is normal. Staff offered me a shower room to freshen up and change, then I could relax, have a drink, and enjoy the beach and facilities while I waited. On departure day, they also let me check out three hours late, which made the last day much easier. I'm very grateful for that thoughtful gesture. Before leaving today, I saw the incident referred to in a recent negative review. An Indian woman shouted loudly in the lobby and acted aggressively toward the manager, who stayed calm and professional while trying to de-escalate things. Management was patient and composed, and the couple was escorted to the lounge area. From what I saw, staff weren't aggressive at all. They stayed professional despite the guest's confrontational behavior. Early check-in can't be guaranteed, no matter how many messages are sent ahead. It depends on occupancy and whether the room is ready. Expecting immediate access and responding with hostility when that isn't possible is unfair to staff who are doing their best.

My wife had just missed the scheduled Let’s Dance class, and since she doesn't take part in sea activities, the classes mattered a lot to her. Joanna and the Zumba-certified instructor kindly used their lunch break to run another session for her. Their energy, professionalism, and care made a real difference, and Jaya also gave excellent, attentive customer service. A covered pavilion or shaded spot would make the class more comfortable. We enjoyed the Fisherman buffet and Mauritian buffet very much, though the Italian buffet was a little disappointing by comparison. The gym was excellent and well maintained. We were concerned about stray dogs around the hotel. We were told it would be addressed, and hope it gets resolved for future guests.
