It's easy to explore Port Louis from this beautiful hotel. The central market, with plenty of shopping, is just a short walk away, and the hotel sits beside a shopping center with lots of souvenir and art shops. The rooms were great, many with views of the port. The amenities were useful too: after checkout, we needed a shower and were able to use one of the two well-kept showers in the lounge. There's also a water taxi connecting the hotel to Le Suffren, which makes getting between the two very convenient. Highly recommend it for a stay in Mauritius!

The room and the hotel's atmosphere were perfect, and room service was impressively quick, just what you'd expect from a 5-star place. The food was succulent, and I was surprised with a birthday cake in my room, which made the stay delightful. Mr. Vikash Teepoo was outstanding in helping with the reservation. Ms. Sephora and Ms. Fanny provided excellent service as well. I also loved my massage with Ms. Angie, her skills and techniques were brilliant.

We had Christmas dinner at the restaurant on the 24th. The setting and location were great, and the cocktails were nice. The service team deserves credit: the waiters and supervisors personally looked after every table. There was lots of choice and variety, but the food didn't have that wow factor. For the quality and price, I found it overrated.

I asked Tricia for my usual eggs Benedict with tomato on top, and she brought it with flame-roasted tomato instead. That was a wonderful twist on my Benedict. Thanks to Tricia and Vissen for broadening my food horizons!

We stopped in for lunch and were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. The staff were kind, attentive, and gave excellent service. It was a relaxing, elegant atmosphere, and we really enjoyed it.
