St Georges Hotel

The location is good, and having two elevators in a ten-floor building is handy, though both move painfully slowly. Rooms are very basic and a bit shabby. Breakfast was so poor there was basically nothing to eat, so I went out for food. Lunch and dinner from the menu were okay. It'll do for a night if cheap, simple furnishings and skipping breakfast don't bother you.

Staff were pleasant and helpful, and the quiet spot is convenient for walking to the Waterfront, Central market, or other places around town. The rooms are plain but comfortable enough if you're there for work or out and about most of the time. Meals could be better, especially breakfast, considering all the local food and fruit around.

The rooms are clean and spacious, with free WiFi, and the hotel sits right in the city centre. You can walk to the businesses in Port Louis. Breakfast is simple but good. Don't come expecting luxury or a sandy beach, that's not what you're paying for. Rooms facing the road can be noisy, so ask for one at the back if you don't mind having no view.

A good business hotel, with clean, comfortable rooms and the basic amenities. Some floors have newly renovated, well-appointed rooms. The staff were pleasant and courteous. It would be nice to have coffee available for self-service in the rooms.
