Hebergement Vue Sur Mer

The spotless little house and the kindness of Mr. Begue, his brother Nani, and their mother made this stay special. They were warm, smiling, and quick to help. We stayed five days and loved the ocean view, the wind, and the winter chill. We had a car, which made getting around easy, since public transport in Rodrigues can be unpredictable. You can rent a bike or car, or enjoy walking. This is a quiet place away from traffic, but it’s a small two-bedroom house, not a hotel. The kitchen had everything we needed. There’s no cable TV, though you can connect a laptop to the TV, and we never turned it on because there was so much to do outside. Rodrigues isn’t London, Kuala Lumpur, or Port Louis, so comparing it with those cities can get in the way of enjoying the holiday. If you’re after something different and some peace and quiet, give it a try. I’d definitely go back.
