The hosts made us feel at home straight away, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. We loved the garden too, full of palms and frangipani, and it was such a relaxing place to spend time. On our daughter's birthday, they surprised her with a sweet gift that morning. Later, they helped us grill a fish we’d caught, which made the day feel extra special. We had a wonderful stay at Shanti Ghar Guest House in Tamarin and would happily stay there again if we return to Mauritius. Highly recommend it ❤️

We used the barbecue one evening and had a great time cooking for ourselves. The hosts took care of cleaning it the next day, which was appreciated. Breakfast was simple but had enough to get us going, and the guest house was very clean. Our room faced the mountain at the back and was quiet. The garden-facing rooms looked lovely, though, so we’d pick one of those next time. The garden is peaceful and thoughtfully laid out, and the whole place feels personal and welcoming. We got useful ideas for hikes, beaches, and local restaurants soon after arriving, plus help with bookings and transfers. The suggestions felt authentic and not too touristy. Shanti Guest House was a lovely, relaxing start to our time in Mauritius and a good base for getting a feel for the island. We had a rental car and would recommend one for exploring Mauritius freely. The rooms are comfortable, and we had a wonderful stay.

The house has a lovely, peaceful feel, and guests have room to enjoy it freely. I came with my family, and my children, aged 9 and 11, were very happy there too. The owners and Pascale were kind and ready with advice whenever we needed it, without being intrusive. I’d love to come back soon.

The room is beautifully decorated, and the hosts and manager pascale made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. They were always there to help us feel happy.
