Villa Alizée

We kept skipping lunch so we could make room for dinner here. The restaurant was our favorite place to eat on the island, with sushi, filet mignon, a seafood platter, and local dishes like curries, grilled fish, and crab soup. The rooftop is a great spot to watch the sunset. While we were there, professional photographers went up to take pictures of the sun going down over the sea. The hotel sits in a small neighborhood right on the coast, about a ten-minute drive from central Port Louis. Jean Marc and the staff made the stay feel personal. They know guests by name and really try to make everyone comfortable. It has much more character than the big chain hotels.

After another property scammed us, we drove to Villa Alizer, and it basically saved our vacation. The owner showed the kindness and generosity this island is known for. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff and service were amazing, and the food was great. I'd much rather stay here and take a car or taxi to the busy spots than spend hundreds on a subpar room in Grand Bai, for instance. Thanks again for being so amazing. I can't recommend this place enough.

The rooftop dining was amazing, and the chef can tailor a wide range of carved cuisine to what you need. You can get home cooked, Creole, or Tanzanian food, and I'd recommend eating in. We had a really wonderful time staying in the villa. John, the owner, is very welcoming, and the vibe of the place is great.

Oliver and the staff were friendly and helpful the whole time. They even had breakfast ready after we overslept, and made us feel at home instead of like ordinary guests. The rooms were comfy, and the service was top-notch. Villa Alizee was a fantastic, relaxing place with personal touches. We'd definitely return.
