Christopher and Jessica made us feel like part of the family during our four nights over Easter. Whenever we needed something, they went out of their way to help. Their home is spacious and beautiful, with comfortable rooms and a breathtaking view by the pool. One of the best B&B stays I’ve had.
As a cheap place to sleep, it might work if you’re on a tight budget. I wouldn’t choose it for a longer holiday. The room is functional, but it feels gloomy, and the whole place is musty and dated. The reception has a dungeon-like feel, and being led to the room in silence made that impression worse. The security setup feels like a jail, which left me wondering why it needs to be so extensive. With more care, better lighting, and that smell dealt with, this could be decent budget accommodation.
For a taste of everyday local Mauritius, this is a good place to go. Anyone expecting luxury may be disappointed.
The views are great, especially if you don’t mind looking out over the port. The place is clean and cheap, but it still looks under construction and there’s no elevator. Breakfast was poor, and it’s far from the tourist areas. Don’t choose it unless you’re renting transport.
A good, quiet place to stay when you need a break from the daily grind of work and life.
