Whale Shark Boutique

Diving with the in-house instructor Shiva was a real treat, especially after a disappointing experience with a dive center on another island. He was professional, engaging, and went out of his way to make it a good experience. I also enjoyed the smaller-scale trips and dives without crowds. I spent a week at Whale Shark Boutique in January and felt very well looked after. The place is a good fit if you want comfortable accommodation, friendly staff, peace and quiet on the beach, or snorkeling and diving excursions on an authentic island. It has a casual, calm feel, with a breeze through the open restaurant. Since it’s small, staff can respond to individual requests and are always around. It felt like a real home during my stay, simple barefoot luxury. A relaxing, slow-paced week on Fenfushi. Thank you!

The dives and excursions were the best part of my stay. We saw a whale shark, more than 15 Manta Rays, Mobula Rays, and Nurse Sharks. Shiva was a highly professional instructor who guided every dive carefully and kept everyone safe. The dives felt peaceful and amazing, and seeing Eagle Rays at the sites he took us to was especially special for me. I can’t thank him enough for the best experience of my life. The boat captains and helpers were polite and good too. The rooms were clean and the staff and service were good. The food could be much better, in my opinion, though the beach barbeque dinner was awesome. Having dinner by the beach in the moonlight, with everything set up so well by the staff, was lovely. We had the best time at Whale shark boutique 💙💙

Getting to snorkel near Whale Shark Point was a highlight, and I felt safe despite having a lot of respect and a bit of fear of the ocean. Shiva and Sytte paid incredible attention to detail, and the team’s calm, professional manner really helped. The island is a dream, with excursions and chances to interact with locals, plus comfy beach loungers at Bikini Beach next to the hotel. Organization was flawless, and the friendly staff made us feel welcome and at ease from the moment we arrived. We’ve stayed on local islands before and would happily return here again and again. This was the highlight of our two weeks island hopping!
