Palms retreat

Alan was such a sunny, helpful person, always smiling. He helped us with our luggage and check-in, and even cooked. We had a wonderful vacation at palms retreat. I only wish there had been more vegetables at breakfast.

We spent our honeymoon at Palms Retreat in November–December 2025, and it completely won us over. On arrival we were welcomed with lemon tea, a cool wet towel, and tasty snacks to go with the tea. The hotel is cozy and beautiful, with so much care in the design that we felt at home straight away. Everything was spotless, our room was cleaned daily, and the inner courtyard was stylish and atmospheric, with lots of comfortable places to relax. The location worked really well. Shops and a café are nearby, and it’s a 10-minute walk through a beautiful palm grove to the bikini beach. The sandy spit there was a dream and among the most beautiful we’ve seen. Our room was spacious and bright, with a huge terrace and sea view. Each day we got two large bottles of water (1.5 L), and the room had everything we needed: shower caps, toothbrushes and toothpaste, towels, a beach bag, a razor, and toiletries. Everyone on the team was friendly, smiling, and ready to help. Aiman, the hotel owner, deserves special thanks. He has a big heart, is always around checking on guests, and helps with whatever you need. His excursions were unforgettable. He supplied life jackets, fins, and masks, then joined the captain to take us to lively, beautiful spots in the ocean. We saw manta rays, turtles, fish, and a coral garden. Aiman filmed everything with a GoPro and a drone and sent us the videos, memories we’ll treasure. His excursion prices were also the best and most reasonable we found. All those positive reviews are true. We sincerely recommend Palms Retreat. Book it without hesitation and take as many excursions as you can. You’ll come away with incredible emotions and unforgettable memories. 💙🌴✨

We had a good 4-night stay, helped along by Fulhadhoo’s beautiful beaches and snorkeling, the lovely design, and the wonderful staff. But at 300€ a night, this place has a lot of potential that doesn’t quite match its "Luxury" price tag. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They even made us a thoughtful breakfast-to-go for our early speedboat. Daily cleaning was excellent, the rooms were spacious and comfortable, and communication on WhatsApp before arrival was seamless and professional. The property itself is tastefully furnished and welcoming. Food was the biggest concern. Breakfast is a pre-selected set menu, which can waste food if you dislike some of the items. A checklist or verbal choice would be more guest-friendly and sustainable. One morning I found mold in my yogurt. I reported it, then the same thing happened to my girlfriend, Sophia, the next day. That suggests a broken cold chain, which is unacceptable at this price. Our sheets were also slightly dirty on arrival, which shouldn’t happen at the island’s best place. The NYE Gala Dinner cost $130 per person, and the food didn’t feel worth that price. The evening itself was fun and well organized, though, with games after dinner and cool prizes that we really enjoyed. We’ve stayed at 5-star resorts for only 100€ more, with full buffets, so this felt overpriced. For the most expensive hotel on Fulhadhoo, food hygiene and attention to detail need significant improvement to justify the premium.

The team works with such care and calm, and you can find real peace here. From the third floor there’s a lovely ocean view, and breakfast was wonderful, different each morning. This is truly the most beautiful hotel on the island, with such a warm welcome and thoughtful details everywhere you look. The rooms are beautiful and the bed is very comfortable. It was hard to leave, and I’m looking forward to coming back. If you visit Fulhadhoo, choose this hotel to make your stay unforgettable.
