Belmar Beach

We mentioned our vegan diet when booking, and the kitchen team made us delicious vegan meals every day. The breakfast was simple but good, and the staff were all so kind, especially Dhammika the cook and Mosharof our waiter. Our room was clean and had air conditioning. Belmar Beach is in a great spot if you want peace and quiet, with a bikini beach right there and a house reef for snorkeling. We saw black tip sharks and lots of fish, and with luck you might see rays or turtles too. Good value for the money.

We booked a manta trip through the hotel, and it was incredible. Ahmed briefed us carefully on what to expect and how to behave around mantas. We saw lots of them, and it was just the two of us on the trip. Ahmed was patient and kind, and it ended up being one of our best excursions ever. We stayed three nights. The facilities were new, the rooms modern, and the beach stunning. The buffet dinner was really good too. If the stay gets five stars, the staff deserve ten. Every person we met was so professional and hospitable.

The house reef was fantastic for snorkeling, and the hotel had great activities. We got lucky enough to swim with whale sharks, manta rays, and nurse sharks, memories we’ll keep forever. The staff also helped plan a perfect proposal to my girlfriend. We had great conversations with them, and when we were sick for a day, they helped us get good care at the local medical center, which was modern and surprisingly affordable. It was our first time in the Maldives, and everything from the rooms and food to the staff made it a wonderful experience. Thanks for such a memorable holiday!

We loved the food at the restaurant, and the hotel staff and manager were very nice. There are plenty of sunbeds under the trees out front. Some rooms open right onto the beach, while others have terraces overlooking the sea. The hotel is right on the bikini beach, and the island’s lovely house reef is only a short swim from shore, with beautiful corals, small sharks, stingrays, and lots of colorful fish. The island should protect this reef, since it’s special and not many local islands still have one this beautiful.
