Our host Mounir was wonderfully friendly and helpful, and an amazing cook. His grilled snapper was the best we've ever had. The customer service really deserves five stars. The island is peaceful and relaxing, with a beautiful resident reef. The clean guesthouse has spacious king-size rooms and an ensuite bathroom. I highly recommend it for anyone on a budget who still has high expectations.

We loved snorkeling on the house reef, right in front of the bikini beach, and taking the day trip to Mathiveri Finolhu. Bodufolhudhoo has plenty to offer, and the staff at Surf Retreat were so nice. The room was clean, the atmosphere was pleasant, the food delicious, and the excursions amazing. A great place to stay in the Maldives. Highly recommended!

My wife, son, and I were excited for our first trip to the Maldives, but I was also nervous about the hotel and the island. From the time I left India, they guided us so well that I never felt far from home. Our flight was delayed, and we missed the last speedboat on April 11, 2019. They arranged somewhere for us to stay in Male that night, then coordinated the transfer to the atoll the next morning. That's when we met Munir, who seemed to do everything himself. He cooked delicious food, showed us how to enjoy our time, and was thoughtful and caring throughout. His beach dinner was one of the most beautiful experiences we've had. He kept checking whether we needed anything, and we were amazed by how much he arranged for us. In short, Munir made our Maldives trip genuinely pleasant and memorable. Munir was especially kind and easy to deal with, and he cooks really tasty food. We had a pleasant five-night stay. The rooms are pretty standard, so don't come expecting a fancy bathroom.

The food was amazing, and we really liked having snorkel gear and beach towels included. The staff were friendly, too. Its location is perfect if you're after a local island experience, and I'd definitely recommend it.
