We booked Crystal Dhiffushi through Secret Paradise for four nights, but left the next day after just one night. The room was in very poor condition: mould on the walls and ceiling, thick dust and mould on the fan, broken bathroom tiles on the walls and floor, no TV, and a very bad shower. There was dust and bugs in the bed, and the place was not clean or well maintained. The staff were kind and tried to help, but management and upkeep seemed poor. The Chinese owner Zera and Maldivian man Ali weren’t available to help us with the problem. We left Dhiffushi the following day. The tour we booked at Liquid Rush, which has the same owner, wasn’t nice either. Not a good place for a Maldives holiday.

For a very small backpacking budget, this is a good base for a local Maldives experience. It has what you need, sits in front of the beach, and the food is yummy. The facilities are new, very clean, and well cared for, and the staff have been friendly and professional. I had an awesome stay at Crystal Inn.

We only came for dinner one evening and didn’t stay at the hotel. The food was very good, but it took almost an hour and a half to arrive. Apparently they can manage hotel guests but not a la carte diners. They should have said no instead of making us wait that long.

They went out of their way to help without us having to ask. On one tour we forgot our camera, but they took photos for us, even using a GoPro. They also surprised me with a birthday cake. The staff were always smiling and so friendly. They made us feel like guests visiting family, never like strangers. From the bottom of my heart, I wish them all the best. It’s a cozy, wonderful place.

The place is new and nice, and I really liked staying there. The staff were very nice too. The island is lovely, and maybe there are four bikini beaches. I’m happy I stayed there.
