Old Town Inn

The food they cook is absolutely amazing. My friend and I went to Gaafaru, and the owner and his friends were helpful and willing to do things for us. The trips were a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We got to dive with sharks, turtles, and colourful fish, then relax on white sand. If you want to experience life in the Maldives, head to Gaafaru and the Old Town in Maldives hotel. I loved my time at the Old Town Inn and can’t wait to go back. The hotel was clean, its location was beautiful, and the food was great, but it was the people who made the stay so special. Ibrahim and Captain were kind and made it feel like a retreat. Gaafaru is a small, peaceful island with a gorgeous beach. They took me on lots of excursions, including snorkeling, swimming with sharks, and visiting a beautiful sandbar. Five stars plus, I’ll never forget this stay!

We enjoyed our five nights at Old Town Inn Hotel. The room was OK, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel has a list of outings and will arrange them when you ask. Since the island is small, most activities are on the water, like diving, snorkelling, dolphins, finishing, and more. The restaurant belongs to the hotel but is about a two-minute walk away, rather than inside it. Gaafaru is a very calm place to relax, with a nice beach and lovely, friendly people. There isn't much else around, as it’s a tiny village on the island.

Our kids’ highlights were the dolphin trip, where we saw so many dolphins, and snorkeling at the sand bank. Both were amazing experiences! We had a wonderful stay in the Maldives. Huge thanks to Shareef and his team for making us feel at home and showing us the beautiful sights.
