Cinnamon Hakuraa Huraa Maldives - Adults Only

We spent 7 days here and had a lovely vacation. The Breezy Hilltop Dinner was a memorable evening for us as a couple, and Sandun took great care of us as our host. Our water villa was amazing too, with plenty of sea life to see while snorkelling straight from the balcony steps. The restaurant served good quality food and had a wide range of choices each day.

We spent most days by the pool near the bar, where it was easy to cool off in the heat. There’s plenty of seating there, plus sunbeds on the beach. The island had no bugs that we noticed, just lots of hermit crabs that don’t bother you. Food changes daily, with plenty of curry alongside salads, seafood and puddings. The all-inclusive drinks were fine, with a good selection, though the alcoholic ones can be quite strong. Our overwater bungalow was spacious and clean, and we couldn’t fault it. The view is spectacular. We loved seeing fish through the floor window and while walking along the pontoon. Getting to hukaraa from the UK meant a BA flight, a smaller plane and a speedboat transfer. It was a long, tiring journey, but like childbirth, you soon forget it once you arrive. Reception welcomed us, explained everything after a short wait, then gave us a quick island tour before taking us to the bungalow. We also had the Yin and Yang couples massage with Dian and Putri, and it was amazing. They were professional and put our comfort first. They suggested having it early in the holiday because the full body scrub and Balinese massage help prepare your skin for the sun. It was thoughtful, knowledgeable advice. Everyone has been kind and welcoming, and I’m already looking forward to another treatment in a few days.

The seaplane ride here already felt like a dream. It’s a small, private island, just 20 villas tucked among tropical plants and palms, exactly the sort of place you picture in the Maldives. Everyone was kind and service was efficient, with excellent food and a different themed specialty each day. In the kitchen, Charuna, Ketum & Anjali made us feel as if they were cooking just for us. At the table and bar, Keerthi, Riyyaz, Hana & Ayaash were especially attentive to what we wanted. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to return and stay longer.

The spa was a real highlight for us. We had the best massages we’ve ever experienced, and the Mandara Spa team was kind and professional. Tera and Ari gave us especially wonderful service. We also felt at home from the moment Siti and Satish welcomed us. They were warm, professional and lovely to deal with. Ushan Praneeth was extremely helpful and always available when we needed assistance. Our room was spotless and very spacious, and the overwater villa was breathtaking. The restaurant staff were friendly and helpful too, with a special thanks to Sadun for being so attentive and caring. We highly recommend the resort and can’t wait to return.
