We came to Hulhumale for one night because we needed to shop and had an awkward flight time. The view was awful, the furniture wasn't great, and the room smelled unpleasant, felt humid, and had poor ventilation. WiFi barely worked, and the TV was poor quality with only YouTube, despite the compendium promising free Netflix and Live TV. It also listed board games and a mini gym, but neither was available. We were told we'd get two complimentary water bottles each day, yet on both check-in and check-out days there was just one until we asked for another. The vegetarian menu was terrible, with very limited choices across cuisines and meal times. We went shopping in Malé at about 9:30 AM and specifically asked reception to tidy the room. When we got back at 2:30 PM, it was still messy, and the washroom hadn't been cleaned. Late checkout cost 10 dollars an hour, and we stayed 6 hours past checkout. The staff promised things and delivered something else. I expected little from the hotel, but not such poor hospitality from Maldivians, who are generally very polite. For all the inconvenience, the receptionist told us to complain to our agent instead of accepting the hotel's mistake.

I was wary after reading recent complaints about room condition and staff attitude, but my experience was pretty much the opposite. The rooms were kept in good shape, and the staff were welcoming and polite. We stayed five nights, and the food we ordered from the restaurant was quite good. It was a good stay for the money. Breakfast was basically the same every day, so a bit more variety would help.

For a one-night stay in Male, this worked well for the price. The transfer to and from the airport was included and prompt, and the service was nice. Rooms are small but clean. Breakfast was fairly decent for the 10$ price.

Our two-night stop was a terrible experience. Room 501 was hot and stuffy because the aircon was broken and the windows barely opened. We also found two baby cockroaches in the room. There are so few breakfast seats that you may not find one in the morning, and staff were slow to clear tables for the next guests.

Worst hotel I've stayed at in Maldives. Breakfast was bad, and the staff were extremely rude. I've never had a hotel charge me for food spilled on a bedsheet before. Two staff members confronted us together and demanded 20 dollars right away because we'd spilled a little food on the mattress.
