Silver Oasis Maldives Hotel

We had a really happy stay. Everything went well, and the staff were warm, polite, and very friendly. I liked that local and foreign guests were treated the same. I’d stay again and recommend it. Cheers to the staff 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Huraa is a quiet island, and this hotel was a lovely place to stay. The rooms were clean, the staff were friendly, and the setting was beautiful. We tried the spa too, which had affordable prices and is worth recommending. Thanks for a great visit.

The staff were so helpful and friendly, and really helped us get the most out of our stay. We had a balcony room looking out over the ocean, and the sunset the other day was incredibly beautiful. Highly recommended!

Honestly, I enjoyed my stay. The hotel was calm, bright, and relaxing, though a little expensive per night. Comfortable places in the Maldives seem to cost a lot anyway. The staff were welcoming, respectful, and attentive. Communication was slow at first, but the day manager more than made up for it and made sure I was comfortable. He also sorted out the ferry or speedboat to and from Huraa without trouble. I had water damage in the closet and curtains in my first room, and they moved me to a better one with no fuss. My laundry came back clean and quickly, just as I’d asked. The rooms have a bright, modern look and are spacious, with clean linen. Mine had a clean, powerful mini fridge, hairdryer, kettle, and a decent amount of coffee, sugar, and toiletries. The shower was clean, with no calcium or rust, and had strong pressure and good temperature. Most rooms don’t have an ergonomic chair, though there is a desk. That matters for me working remotely, but probably less for people there for outdoor activities or a romantic trip. There’s a good-sized menu with local and international dishes at fair prices in US dollars. Lunch and dinner were very satisfying, close to gourmet in my view, while breakfast was just okay. The grilled coconut prawns were my best meal. I didn’t see an added room service charge. A day pass is offered for a private resort island where alcohol is available, with meals and drinks included, though I don’t know how many. It seemed pricey for a day, so I skipped it. Other options include snorkeling, dolphin watching, and island hopping, and the prices seemed reasonable to me. I couldn’t try them because of unexpected weather. The island felt lovely and safe, and it was quiet despite a nearby primary school. There isn’t much to do beyond a couple of small cafes, the pier, and an ATM. The hotel has a muted tropical feel, was clean, and asks guests to leave their shoes at the entrance. There are high-end cameras around and strongboxes in the rooms. I rarely saw anyone at reception, but staff can be reached on WhatsApp. There are no phones in the rooms. There’s no alcohol at this hotel or on the island. Some areas have water damage, with ceiling leaks in places. The bathroom windows have no screens and can’t be reached to close, and I didn’t see bug zappers or other insect control devices in the lobby, halls, or rooms.
