We didn’t find a single negative during our stay in the Deluxe Overwater Villa. It was spacious, beautifully designed, and had a stunning view. The island is relatively large, with lovely beaches and plenty of greenery, and the resort keeps the island’s natural feel. The villa was spotless, housekeeping came at least twice daily, and the minibar was replenished each day. The buffet and specialty restaurants we booked served incredible food, and every meal was a highlight. The spa is well worth visiting for a proper relaxation experience. All the staff were polite, professional, smiling, and eager to help. Special thanks to Rahim for the excellent service. Our only small suggestion would be to add a clothesline for drying swimsuits. Nadie looked after us from the start, and our requests through WhatsApp were handled quickly and efficiently. We’re three adults who spent four nights at Raaya on the RAAYA plan to celebrate my parents’ wedding anniversary. Staff at the seaplane airport made us feel cared for, and Nadie acknowledged the occasion and went out of her way to make it memorable. Our room attendant, Abhishek, kept the villa spotless and decorated it beautifully for anniversary night. Dining had some ups and downs. The plan let us visit each specialty restaurant once. All three were nicely presented, though the food was average, and we appreciated the chefs’ and staff’s effort. The buffet was the main option for other meals and became a bit repetitive toward the end, so more variety would help on a longer stay. Seb’s Shack was a welcome change, with snacks and light bites. At busy times the buffet restaurant seemed understaffed. We sometimes had to repeat drink orders, and the staff looked stretched, though this seemed to be about limited staffing at peak hours rather than lack of effort. We initially heard the specialty restaurants were fully booked, which was stressful. Nadie managed to arrange all three reservations, but guests should be told about availability when booking so they don’t have to worry after paying for their stay. I’d recommend making specialty dining reservations as soon as your booking is confirmed. We thoroughly enjoyed our first Maldives visit, and my family loved the experience. Thanks to Nadie for her attentiveness and Abhishek for keeping our villa immaculate.

Nadie, our island host, was wonderfully helpful at any time. We could ask her to change our pillows, reserve lunch or dinner, or anything else, and she’d get it done if possible. Room service was great and came often, twice daily, and everything in the minibar was complimentary and refilled each day. The island was magical, very tidy, and carefully looked after throughout. It’s a natural island, unlike many in the Maldives. Privacy and service were excellent, and the food was tasty with lots of choice, including a kids’ corner at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The massages were the best I’ve ever had, and one was complimentary. There were lots of excursions to choose from, though they weren’t included, so expect to pay extra.

Zaleeq, our host, was incredible and made sure nothing was too much trouble. His work ethic is amazing. Mo and Mary at the Raaya Life restaurant were fantastic workers, and Iqbal kept our villas spotless while drawing incredible sand pictures each night. Thank you all so much. Raaya by Atmosphere was epic. I went with very high hopes for my Maldives trip and wasn’t disappointed once. I’ll be back next year. No other holiday compares.
