Hurawalhi Island Resort

For an ocean pool vila, I’d ask for an odd-numbered room. The view is better, in my opinion. We started in even-numbered 244 and asked to move to odd-numbered 255. The buffet was amazing, and the food was great. This was our first visit to the Maldives and to this lovely resort. From the moment you arrive, it feels like a unique place. The staff were friendly from the start. Thanks to Bahau, the resort manager, Noza, our concierge, and the whole team for making us feel special.

We had such a lovely holiday at Hurawalhi and would be very keen to return. The snorkeling right from the doorstep was some of the best we’ve ever done, and the dive team was fantastic. The rooms were beautiful, tidy, and cleaned twice daily, with a very generous minibar. Food was wonderful and varied, and I never had any trouble finding vegetarian options. Rahul deserves a special shout-out as a wonderful chef. Everything went smoothly, from our arrival at Male airport to boarding the plane home. The resort itself is beautiful, and I’d highly recommend it. For management, a big thank you for making the trip so memorable. Hassan greeted us every morning with a smile and a positive attitude, and looked after us so well. Rahul worked incredibly hard to make sure every guest had a great experience. Panwar (Pradeep) was always friendly and made exceptional pasta. Faiz kept our room spotless and was so friendly when we ran into him. Sam, our island host, responded immediately to requests and made sure we were well looked after. Thanks to all of you for a wonderful stay.

We were only there for two nights and three days, and our luggage delay cost us the chance to get in the ocean on arrival day. We’d been told it would reach Malé Airport around 3:00 PM, but it didn’t show up until just before 7:00 PM. The buffet was high quality and offered so much variety, with dishes changing each day. We never got bored and were very satisfied. The underwater restaurant was a truly unique experience, hard to find elsewhere, and absolutely worth it. After checking out, we visited other Maldives hotels. They cost considerably more, and their overall level and satisfaction were clearly on another tier. Still, this hotel delivers excellent value for money and satisfaction well worth the price.

The one disappointing moment came at checkout. I’d taken a small personal care item from the room, a facial mist, and was asked to return it. At this price and luxury level, I found that a bit disappointing, since such amenities are usually complimentary and guests can take them. It was a minor detail and didn’t overshadow the stay. Otherwise, Hurawalhi Island Resort gave us a wonderful luxury experience. The location is perfect, with stunning views and a real sense of privacy and relaxation. Staff throughout were warm, professional, and attentive, and the food was excellent in both quality and variety. I’d still highly recommend it for the beautiful setting, top-tier service, and excellent dining.
