The staff and manager were good and well mannered, apart from one person, though you find someone like that everywhere. The rooms are old, the AC is cranky, the lights are dim, and there’s no beach or villa view. It’s a budget hotel on the local island of hulhumale, about a 20-minute drive from the airport. Since it’s on the city-center island near male, there are restrictions on walking around the beach in appropriate clothes and on the availability of drinks.

We stayed three nights in a big suite with two beds, one king and one single. It’s a lovely hotel with a romance suite, and the staff are nice. I really liked the breakfast, and the food was yummy. I recommend it if you have kids with you, since they can play freely in the room.

The stairs are narrow, and the rooms feel cramped and smell bad. There’s no vent opening in the washroom or toilet, and the Wi-Fi kept fluctuating. They charged 20$ for airport transfers but didn’t give me a bill or invoice.

The staff were friendly and there’s a wide choice at breakfast. It’s a decent place to stay with a city view, and everything is within walking distance.

After more than 10 hours of travel, the last thing we needed was unfriendly service at dinner. The service was very bad, and the food was miserable. Prices were far too high for the quality and service. It feels like a decorative place, nothing more.
