Off Day Inn Hotel

The only good part was that we stayed for just one night because of an early flight. This place was disgusting. I’m shocked it’s allowed to operate as a hotel, and it felt like an insult to guests, tourism, and basic human dignity. The receptionist was rude, hostile, and unprofessional. We’d paid everything online in advance, including the stay and tourist tax, but on arrival they made us pay another $6 per person as a so-called “property tax” without explaining it. That felt like extortion, especially since one night for two people cost only €60. The room was revolting. The air conditioner didn’t work, the blankets had cigarette burns even though smoking was forbidden, and there was mold and dampness throughout. The smell was unbearable. The windows wouldn’t close at all, and although this is the capital city, the area felt unsafe and chaotic, like a disaster zone. There was no mattress on the bed, just a wooden board, so sleeping was impossible. The TV didn’t work, and the lighting was absurd: the only way to turn it off was to unscrew the bulb. The bathroom felt like a health hazard, with mold everywhere that made showering impossible. The shampoo was a ridiculous 5 ml tube, and the toilet was so filthy and unhygienic that we didn’t dare use it. The door didn’t lock properly, everything felt broken and hollow, and we constantly worried that someone could walk into the room at any moment. We didn’t feel safe for a single second. Sleeping at the airport would have been infinitely safer, cleaner, and more comfortable. I strongly advise people to avoid this place at all costs. Don’t let this so-called hotel ruin your stay in an otherwise beautiful country. I sincerely urge the authorities and inspection services to review the establishment immediately and revoke its license, as it fails even the most basic standards for human accommodation. DISGUSTING. DEPLORABLE. UNACCEPTABLE.
