Tourist Inn Grand

We were happy with Tourist Inn as a stop before our Liveaboard after a long trip. Our room had a double bed, AC, fan, TV, snacks, kettle, small fridge, and a private bathroom with toiletries and towels. It was all really clean. There was also a shared kitchen with a table just outside the room, used by two other rooms, for cooking something more involved. We could make something quick in the room too, which was what we needed, along with a quiet, clean space and private bathroom. Breakfast was included at Tourist Inn’s modern building on the next street. We picked the Maldivian option instead of Continental, and it was delicious and filling, with fruit salad, coffee, and juice. The staff were really nice and helpful. I hadn’t checked whether there was an elevator when booking and was a little worried, but there was one, so hauling our luggage up and down wasn’t a concern. Our boat left from Hulhumale, so we needed to get there by public boat. The walk with our bags to the public boat jetty took around 15-20 minutes. A taxi from the hotel was an option, but we preferred walking around and seeing a bit of Malé.

The shared kitchen and iron were handy, and those facilities were for just two rooms on the same floor. My room was spotless and the bed was comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. I was greeted with a tasty welcome drink and warm hospitality as soon as I arrived. So glad I found this place in Malé, and I’ll definitely return.

I booked and paid for three rooms through Booking, but when we arrived they said only one was available. I asked for my money back and at first they refused, so I had to request the refund through Booking. I’d give zero stars if I could. Don’t go here.

Bro, the staff were all polite and helpful, and the room was clean and comfy. The Maldivian breakfast was delicious too. Everything was perfect, maybe the best place to visit in Male.
