Robinson Noonu

The dining setup may be a buffet, but it felt like eating in a proper restaurant. The dishes were beautifully presented, with many prepared fresh right in front of us, and there was plenty of variety. It never felt like a typical buffet. We stayed for 2.5 weeks, and the activities and gorgeous scenery kept things from getting dull. The rooms were spacious, luxurious, and spotless, especially the bathrooms. Every staff member was kind, attentive, and seemed to truly care about the place. By the end, it felt like we were saying goodbye to friends. We’d happily return and can highly recommend the Robinson Resort on Noonu Island.

Snorkeling around the resort reef was beautiful, and there are plenty of activities to choose from. The food was excellent throughout, and everyone I met was kind and helpful. One small thing to keep in mind if you want to go barefoot, as the resort says you can: the sand can get hot. That really is a minor point, though. Pretty much everything else was wonderful, with impeccable service all around. After booking, contact the resort with your flight information to Malé so they can arrange your transfer there.

Cooray, Rasheed and Aeron deserve a special mention. They went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The rooms and food were spot on, and all the staff were amazing. My wife and I came here for our honeymoon and couldn't fault the place. It’s an incredible spot in paradise, and I’d recommend it to everyone.

The diving was good, and the safety standards were second to none. The dive centre uses Nitrox, so I completed my Enriched Air qualification there. I did 7 dives in total, with the Christmas Tree as my favorite. Visibility was poor at times, but that doesn’t take away from the centre’s professionalism. Shout out to Gustavo and Arthur. We had a lovely, unprompted room decoration for my partner’s birthday. The room itself was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. The bed was firm, and the slightly firmer pillows we asked for were provided. One thing management might want to review is the tree in front of the rooms, which limited the balcony view. The minibar was stocked but came at an extra charge, which seemed a bit much for a holiday at this price point based on my previous experience. The food is described as a buffet, but that doesn’t really capture it. There were about 12 high-quality dishes, beautifully presented, and you could mix them up a bit. Breakfast had a wide range of choices from around the world. The bar was well stocked, and drinks were easy to get. Cooray, Oswald and Pamela, along with the rest of the front-of-house team, made our stay special. The entertainment was excellent too, and the staff shows are worth attending. The DJ sets at the Sundown Bar made a lovely backdrop for the sunset. At Male airport, a TUI representative met us and took us to the Robinson representative. The Robinson rep guided us through booking the internal flight and made sure it was all done before directing us to the minibus for the lounge. Our TUI confirmation had said we’d take an internal flight and then a boat, but that turned out to be wrong. To our delight, a Seaplane took us straight to the resort. The return transfer was just as well managed: the Robinson rep guided us through the airport, helped with the bag check-in, and showed us to security before we said goodbye. The resort is amazing and deserves its high scores. It’s mainly a German resort, but all the staff speak English and everyone was friendly. This is a wonderful place to relax and get away from the day-to-day rat race. We spent ten days there, and the hotel and staff were worth taking the time to write about. All in all, a wonderful holiday. Keep doing what you’re doing.
