Grand Park Kodhipparu Maldives

We loved this resort on the island and plan to come back for another holiday. Everything was excellent: all three restaurants, the food and drinks, and the service. The chefs and bartenders were great. Staff kept the rooms and grounds clean every day, and we felt very safe and well looked after. Wherever we walked, people smiled and said hi. From our room, we could see fish every day under the house through the glass floor, and also many kinds of fish swimming alongside the room while we sat and relaxed. We really appreciate everything.

The boat ride from the airport is only 20 minutes, and the staff were very friendly. From the outside the bungalows look old, but inside they’re modernly decorated and had no flaws. Just keep in mind that things cost extra, even the flashlight for night diving. We had a wonderful, fun stay, with plenty of food choices across the island’s three types of restaurants. It’s an experience I’ll remember forever. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our stay. The views are stunning and the staff are very polite, so you can take some amazing photos. For people from Türkiye, I can definitely suggest choosing this place for a holiday. The transfer boats were well organized and properly timed, with hosts helping with transfers and requests. Housekeeping came daily to refresh the water, treats and towels. You can call a buggy to your room at any time to go wherever you want on the island, though meals are expensive. Breakfast has enough choice for anyone from around the world.

We had a great week in an overwater villa with a pool on an all-inclusive package, and the value felt amazing compared with nearby resorts offering similar packages. The hotel and island were lovely, and we’d definitely book again. The two private dining options we tried, floating breakfast in our pool and the beach pergola, were worth the money as experiences. Still, I think all-inclusive guests should get a small discount on them. All-inclusive didn’t quite feel all-inclusive at times. After having a few too many drinks at the bar one night, we wanted a full fat Coke at breakfast and were charged $10, even though it would have been free at lunch. We were also told half-board guests could take pool bar food and drinks to their room, while all-inclusive guests couldn’t and had to order chargeable room service to have beer or wine there. Getting a daytime drink meant walking 15 minutes from our overwater villa to the pool bar unless we had a bike. Our bikes were “stolen” at least three times from outside the room or restaurants, and there weren’t enough for all the guests. Golf buggies, the island taxis, took around 15-30 minutes to arrive in the evening, so walking was often quicker. The included non-motorized watersports didn’t cover everything either, as clear kayaks cost $45 to rent. These were minor annoyances and didn’t spoil a wonderful stay. We’d definitely recommend the hotel. We’re an LGBT+ couple, and although we didn’t show PDA, we saw at least three other LGBT couples and didn’t feel judged or discriminated against, even during our private romantic beach dinner. The welcome we received made us feel safe about returning.
