The Palm Ray

The food was the real highlight, especially the desserts. Big thanks to the manager’s wife for making them so good. Our last night ended with a delicious barbecue dinner. I stayed here on a dive trip, and the dive company picked this place. The rooms were cozy and spacious, and were cleaned and tidied regularly. The manager kept checking that we had what we needed and helped whenever we asked. I'll miss the place and hope I can come back.

The place itself was okay, but the service problems made our stay very disappointing. We were a family of five, booked two rooms at Palm Ray Maldives in Rasdhoo for 31st October to 2nd November. At check-in, the extra bed we'd requested and agreed to pay for still hadn't been set up. There also wasn't any staff around the property during our stay to help or respond to needs. On departure day, a scheduled power cut from 9 AM to 12 PM made getting ready difficult, and nobody had told us about it beforehand. We had shared our arrival details in advance and sent the boat schedule the day before. They confirmed it and said they'd arrange pickup, but no one came. We called and texted several times and got no response from Irshad, the reservation person, so we had to hire a buggy and get to the property ourselves. The poor communication, lack of responsibility, and lack of service really affected the whole experience. Management and guest coordination need to improve.

They even remembered how I like my coffee and eggs at breakfast, which says a lot about the attentive service. All the staff were super friendly. The Palm Ray is centrally located, with everything just a short walk away. The place was clean and well maintained during our week-long stay. We'd definitely come back if we're in Rasdhoo again.

We were sorry to leave. The rooms were huge, everything was super clean, and the beds were really comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was delicious. We'd definitely choose this place again.
