Coral Heaven Maldives

We had a terrible stay at Coral Heavens. The rooms weren’t properly maintained, the TV didn’t work, breakfast was overcooked, and there was no room service or cleaning. We also had no internet for an entire night. We stayed in what felt like a haunted house for two days, with almost no service. The current manager’s manner was very unprofessional. From arranging speedboats to booking excursions, he seemed to keep trying to get more money out of us. He charged us $20 extra for a speedboat under the label of a service charge, which I don’t believe exists. He preferred cash, or else asked for an extra 8% on debit or credit card payments, a fee I don’t believe is charged anywhere in the Maldives. Paying cash also meant there was no way to prove we had paid for the accommodation. When we arrived, he cancelled our booking right away, though we only noticed the next day. I think this was to avoid paying Agoda’s booking fees and to prevent us from leaving a review. We were charged exactly the amount Agoda had quoted. I’ve since seen another guest share a similar opinion about Coral Heaven, so I felt I should warn others. If you can, avoid this place. There are plenty of other affordable options on this beautiful island.
