Faza View Inn, Maafushi

I found bedbugs in my room during a recent stay. I reported it right away and asked to move, but was told the hotel was full. Only after repeatedly insisting and making it clear I would not remain in that room did I get another one, so there was apparently another room available. The staff even put the sheet with my things. The staff and owner handled the situation terribly. Afterwards, I was accused in messages and told my photos were fake, even though I had sent a video clearly showing their hotel room. The hygiene and customer service are far below par. I didn't feel safe or taken seriously as a guest. Bedbugs!! Don’t go here!!! I strongly advise against staying here.

The rooms and bathrooms were clean, and the price was very cheap compared with the hotel hotels for all the commodity. The staff were amazing, friendly, helpful, supportive, and gave advice. I strongly recommend staying here for an exotic experience far from the noise of the hotel hotels and the city center.

My girlfriend found bedbugs in her room. When she told management, they said there wasn't another room. An hour later, they came and tossed the bed and blankets around to “look,” throwing the infested bedspread onto her clothes and bags. Then, another hour later, they suddenly had a room for her. In the morning, the owner messaged to say it was her fault and she had brought the bugs in. Terrible customer service, and a large amount of money for an infested room. Be smart and don’t go there!

It’s only a 10-minute walk to Bikini Beach and close to everything else on the island, which made exploring easy. I had a wonderful stay at Faza View Inn. The guesthouse was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the air conditioning worked reliably. There was always hot water. Mr. Ibrahim, the owner, made the experience especially good. He was very accommodating, and whenever I needed something, he helped right away and kindly, even when I just needed an extra blanket. For the price, it’s great value compared with other places. They also arranged airport pick-up and drop-off, which made the trip smooth and stress-free, especially as a woman traveling solo to Maldives for the first time.
