The receptionist's behavior really spoiled the stay. He was rude, unhelpful, and seemed annoyed by everything. We had to ask for the daily water bottles, and when I asked for water in the evening, he said, “Is this the time to ask for water?” Basic courtesy was missing. The room was average. The taps were rusty and the AC barely cooled, though we could manage. Hygiene was another concern: he washed breakfast cups and utensils at reception, apparently in the same spot used to wash feet after the beach. It was unpleasant to see. Breakfast was the exact same very limited meal each day: one omelette, one sausage, a glass of very diluted juice, and three small pieces of watermelon. Bread, jam, butter, tea, and coffee were self-service, and there was no variety. The stay could have been much better, but the receptionist's rudeness and lack of hospitality ruined it.

Not worth even the low price for what they provide. The management just seems interested in taking your money. The rooms are dated, the beds creak, the AC can't keep up with the heat, and the toilet sink is rusty. I'd pay extra for somewhere better, like icom.

This is a guest house, not a hotel. The room was just okay, not particularly good. We liked the manager or owner, though we're not sure which, and he behaved very well.

The owner was very pleasant, thoughtful, and relaxed. I enjoyed both the easy small talk and our deeper conversations. Back in 2011, this was the best place in Maafushi. It clearly hasn't been renovated since then, and newer investments have left it behind. It's still a fair choice if you're a traveller focused on the local experience, but less suited to someone after luxury or lots of activities.

Mr Shameem and the rest of the staff were especially nice, attentive, and quick to help with any questions or requests. From check-in onward, they made sure I was comfortable and went above and beyond. That level of service made our recent stay much more enjoyable. I'd highly recommend this hotel if good customer service matters to you.
