RV Thoddoo Maldives Guest house

The rooms were spotless and comfortable, and I loved the variety of delicious food at breakfast and dinner. From the moment I arrived, the staff at Ranvilu were warm and caring. They went out of their way to make sure I felt comfortable and looked after. It was an unforgettable stay in a peaceful, welcoming place. I’d highly recommend it. Fahim and Joy were wonderful, always friendly and ready to help, and nothing seemed like too much trouble. The meals they made were unbelievably delicious, with something different and tasty each day. Our room was spotless every day, and the whole place felt peaceful and relaxing. We also got a different fresh juice with dinner each day, a really lovely touch. We couldn’t be happier with our stay. If we come back, we wouldn’t even consider staying anywhere else. You won’t go wrong staying here 🫶🏻

It was really handy being so close to the path to sunset beach, and the guesthouse still feels new. My room was roomy, the bed was super comfy, and I loved the warm doona and fluffy pillows. The outdoor shower got plenty of sun, and at night you could see the stars. There’s a mini fridge and kettle in the room, plus an umbrella in case of rain. They provide glass bottles you can refill, which means using fewer plastic ones. The WiFi was strong most of the time, though when it went out I only had 3G in the room. The place was clean and well looked after by the one staff member I met, who was from Sri Lanka and had only been working there for five days. I did see him watering plants early in the morning and still working at night, so his hours seemed very long. I never met the owner, which was a first for me after two years of traveling around Maldives, and I wasn’t given information about places to go, food options, or excursions. Maybe the owner had gone home for Ramadan. He was quick to answer WhatsApp and help arrange a speedboat or buggy, though. Breakfast is now at Mint Restaurant, though I presume it used to be served on-site. Free bicycles were available, but unfortunately they were all broken during my stay, so I managed to borrow one for just a day. It was still a pleasant visit, and I liked being able to walk to the beach so quickly. I hope the bikes are working properly next time.

Ameez made our stay especially nice, greeting us with a natural smile and such warm hospitality. I enjoyed chatting with him and learning about local culture. Ranvillu RV is a new guest house with modern furniture and a lovely shared area for relaxing. It’s also very close to the beach and the pretty palm-lined path through the fruit garden. We had a great time and would definitely recommend it.
