Sunny Pavilion

We came to Sunny Pavilion Hotel for two weeks, and what we'll remember most is the team's genuine care. Several flight cancellations left our group stressed and unsure what would happen, but Ibrahim and everyone working there stayed calm and supportive. Ibrahim did everything he could to help us, make us comfortable, and accommodate us. We felt more like people staying in a home than hotel guests. The hotel itself was warm and peaceful, and we felt welcome from the moment we arrived. Our room was very clean, the sheets were always fresh and comfortable, and the food was fresh and delicious. The staff looked after everyone. I highly recommend Sunny Pavilion Hotel to anyone visiting Thoddoo. We felt safe and cared for, and we'll remember Ibrahim and the whole team with gratitude. We stayed from May 9th to 14th and had tasty breakfasts. The hotel has large, innovative stand-alone capsules, and everyone worked to make our stay quiet and comfortable. Thank you to Sunny Pavilion, its owner Ibrahim, and the staff, Amit and Ridda. Sunny Pavilion is one of the hotels on Thoddoo that provides an electric buggy for transfers to and from the beach.

The free buggy trips to the beach were a huge help with our 1-year-old baby. The owner also arranged airport transfers, and we were surprised with a farewell dinner on our last day. Thank you! Sunny Pavilion is a lovely, unusual place, quite different from an ordinary guesthouse. We enjoyed the green grounds and the panoramic views from the capsules. The staff were always kind and ready to help. We were very happy with our stay, would recommend it, and would love to return to Sunny Pavilion if we get back to Thoddoo.

Worst place we've stayed. We were given a different room from the one we booked. It was tiny and stuffy, so we asked to move. The replacement was larger and had no terrace, but it was cheaper than what we'd booked. The room was hot and airless, with a heater blowing even though this is a summer country, and no window to air it out. We couldn't open the curtain because people outside could see right in. Housekeeping was awful. The fresh towels were already dirty, and they weren't replaced the next day. The stained sheets stayed on the bed too. The shower was blacked out and only started working after 10 minutes, leaving the shampoo stuck on my head that long. Even though I hadn't used it, the shower wouldn't drain properly, so I had to wash in standing water. Sunset Beach was a half-hour walk away. I asked a staff member for a ride and was told he'd take me, but he didn't show up for 40 minutes. We left after one day because we didn't want to lose more of our trip here. This was the worst accommodation on Todu Island. The TV and remote were all in Chinese, with no English, so I couldn't use them. I guess only Chinese guests need to go here. There are so many complaints I couldn't tell you all of them. When I left, I asked about a refund and was told I'd get one, but now they say they can't refund me. I'm annoyed I didn't take pictures of the dirty towels and blankets. The room also wasn't like the booking photo. Don't lie to me. You don't have to refund me, but don't lie. Everyone reading this, please don't get caught out. What happened to me could happen to you and ruin a nice trip.
