Holiday Haven Ukulhas Hotel

Shafeeg hosted us so well when I stayed here with my sisters and the kids. He arranged everything we wanted, and his hospitality was unmatched. The place was clean, private, and cozy, just a minute from the beach. We loved our time in Ukulhas. It’s one of the best local islands I’ve visited, and I’ll definitely come back soon.

Lucky, who manages the property, was lovely, professional, and helpful. He answered all my questions and even helped with my rucksack very early in the morning. The guesthouse was fine and had what I needed, though my room didn’t have soap or shampoo, which didn’t bother me. It was quiet and close to both the harbour and the beach. I stayed just one night, my last, after my previous accommodation turned out to be brutally overpriced. Thank you.

Staff were helpful with whatever I needed, and breakfast was included and nice. This is a small lodge with just four rooms, unlike the larger box-style hotels on Ukulhas. My room was fairly spacious, with a high ceiling, plenty of natural light, and a very clean feel. The electrical setup and wifi were good, and the AC was decent. The mattresses were especially comfortable, with an actual mattress topper, which is unusual.

For the high price, we expected much more. Breakfast arrived half an hour late, brought by staff who seemed unmotivated and unfriendly. In the evening, the breakfast plates were still on the table with ants all over them. The room itself was satisfactory, but the bathroom was tiny and the wifi didn’t work in the room. When we arrived as a family for a three-day stay, we waited two hours for someone to bring the key and didn’t get a warm welcome. We were disappointed, wouldn’t recommend this accommodation, and certainly won’t return.
