We tried the restaurant twice. The food was decent and included some local dishes that were good to try, though it wasn't the best and there are better places to eat on the island. The staff were friendly.

The beach was just across the road, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. The manager in particular made the service feel much better. We paid a lot extra for all inclusive, but the food wasn't fresh tasting, even though it looked and smelled good, and everything was very spicy. The special menu had too few choices for a two week stay, so we had to ask for the regular restaurant menu. As all inclusive guests, we expected to have more options without asking. Meals and drinks were only available at set times, and after two drinks we had to pay more. We kept having to explain that we'd already paid almost double for the all inclusive service. At the New Year's party, we each had two drinks. The same drinks were served free to everyone at the buffet the next evening, but the following day we were presented with a bill for the party drinks. We had to argue that this was strange and shocking, especially since we were all inclusive guests and the drinks had been free for everyone the day after. We were also first given a room without windows. After one night we asked for something bigger and better. We got a larger room, but its window faced a wall for the rest of our two weeks. The events and boat transfer weren't included either. Paying so much extra just to get a different menu turned out to be unnecessary and a waste of money. We shouldn't have had to keep explaining what all inclusive means or argue to get the service we'd paid for. We understand small businesses need income to provide good service and develop, but the all inclusive offer should match what guests are paying for. It would have been much cheaper to skip it and eat at other restaurants several times a day. Before our trip, we'd read that restaurants in the Maldives were really expensive, but as Swedish residents, a $6 meal is 200% cheaper than in Sweden. We recommend visiting Ukulhas, Maldives, but not getting all inclusive at this hotel. We didn't expect to get so little for what we paid.

The location by the beach is very good, and at first glance the place looks nice. Beyond that, it was a terrible stay. Our room had no windows and smelled bad. The food was bland and below average; although we had half board, we preferred eating elsewhere. Nearly all the waitresses were rude and unprofessional, gossiping about customers and seeming not to care about the service.

The staff were so helpful and kind, and our room was clean with daily cleaning. Breakfast had tasty Maldivian food such as Mashuni, and we also really enjoyed the dinner buffet and Fish BBQ. You can order snacks to take away for lunch, too. We spent 12 days here and had an amazing time. A very nice hotel, definitely recommend it for a trip to Ukulhas! 😊
