We especially enjoyed the meals, which were delicious and clearly made with a lot of care. The staff were warm and attentive from the moment we arrived, and made us feel genuinely welcome. The garden and pool are beautiful, with a relaxing setting right by Lake Malawi. It’s a lovely place to unwind, and we’d happily return. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, charming stay by the lake.

The main house is incredibly old and is actually a historical site, which I loved. There’s a library with really good books, the place is quiet, and the locals are nice. My stay was amazing, honestly. Come here, you won’t regret it. I can’t recommend it enough.

We arrived late after booking Conforzi Lake House at the last minute for eight days, and it was so dark we couldn’t see the setting. In the morning, we were amazed by how beautiful it was. The beach was lovely, and having our own pool was great. We saw lots of cute, mischievous Velvet Monkeys during the stay, plus some baboons that weren’t aggressive and were easily scared off. One big male came to the door, and my girlfriend ran after him. Ha ha. Amos, Innocent and Ramson were first class, friendly, and looked after us the whole time. We arranged shopping from the local markets through them. They collected it and cooked us breakfast, lunch, and dinner, all of which were delicious. We highly recommend visiting Conforzi lake house, and want to thank the staff again for a wonderful time.

The rooms were spacious, and the setting really opens up once you reach the houses. The beach is lovely and wide, great for a game of Frisbee. The newly renovated house was my favorite, with its concrete finishes, nice bathrooms, cozy living room, and great outdoor kitchen. We didn’t get hot showers in the rooms farther away, though. The old house feels its age and may be less cozy unless you need the extra space. The pool pump was broken when we arrived, but they fixed it the next day. I didn’t swim, since the green color put me off. The kitchen was the biggest letdown: meals kept coming late, and it got worse as our stay went on. We asked for dinner at 6, but our last meal arrived at 9. Breakfast the next day was ready at 9:30, even though we’d asked for 7. It’s a self-catering place, so that wasn’t too bad. The gardener was pretty cool, and more enthusiastic house staff could make the place better easily. There’s a lot of potential and I love the space, though the drive in feels desolate at first.

The house is stunning and the beach is superb. There was no WiFi or mobile signal, and the place didn’t have air conditioning.
