We were a large group and decided at the last minute to stay in for dinner. The kitchen did a grand job, and the food was delicious. The place has a wonderful vibe, with lots of cosy corners. It's fabulous, close to the city and the airport, and the staff were wonderful.

The courtyard is beautiful, the bunnies were lovely, and there are plenty of places to lounge. I stayed several nights at Mitengo house on a work trip, and the room was very comfortable, with a hot shower and strong water pressure. I also tried the in-room massage service advertised at the lodge, and it was wonderful. My only issue was a taxi arranged by the front desk. I asked them to confirm the price, but they didn't, and the driver overcharged me.

Those burgers are divine. The place was a welcome break from the craziness in town, and the rooms are tastefully decorated.

The booking process was professional, and the staff made me feel welcome. I really liked the beautiful lounge and outdoor spaces. Whenever I'm back in Lilongwe, I'll stay at Mitengo House again. Thanks to the Mitengo team.

I waited half an hour, then the waiter came back to tell me no order had been placed, even though I'd ordered from the specials section. It showed a lack of attention to detail.
