Hotel Marvel Inn

I paid 1400 pesos for a stay of almost 13 hours, though this is the sort of hotel that should cost 260 pesos. The service was terrible, and I found some of my things missing after coming back from dinner. When I went upstairs, the door to my room was open. Staff said they had been cleaning but hadn’t told me. My toilet paper was on the balcony, and when I brought it up, the person just denied it and said they’d check. I was lucky I’d taken my money with me. The beds are awful, there are no bath towels, no air conditioning despite what’s advertised, and no hot water. It takes a long time for the water to come through. There are cracks, and the place is still open. Don’t stay here if you want a peaceful rest. People here are extremely thieving and take advantage of ordinary people. I’ll leave the photos.

Worst service I’ve ever had.

I was tired after a trip one morning, so I picked this place because it was quick and affordable. I left my belongings and cash there while I went out to eat, thinking it was safe. When I came back, the hotel had been locked and I was left outside, even though they knew I was a guest. Nobody answered or came out, and it was getting dark, so I had to figure out how to get my things back. Inside, my belongings were scattered around the room and my money was gone. I returned the next day to ask them to take responsibility, but the staff just blamed one another. Since I’m not from the area, I didn’t pursue legal action because it felt like a waste of time and money. I’m sharing this so others don’t end up in the same situation. I absolutely don’t recommend this hotel.

I’ve stayed at Marvel Inn many times. It’s clean, affordable, and well located, and the young man at reception was really friendly. He even let me bring ice to keep refrigerated. They should add a refrigerator in the lobby or on every floor, and parking would be great, too. Just a street back, across from the store, some wonderful women sell homemade food. It’s delicious, inexpensive, and they’re very friendly, so I highly recommend it. Hope to visit again soon. Thanks, and see you soon!
