Hotel Misión, Acapulco Centro

Nice staff, good location, and good value.

The place itself is nice, but the staff and cleanliness were awful. We arrived and were told there was a room for my family, but it was dirty and we couldn't use it until after 5 pm. One room had blood stains on the sheets and door, and there was a cockroach on one of the beds. We didn't get towels until evening, and there was no toilet paper or soap either. It felt like they didn't want to rent us the room.

The bathroom was a disaster, there was no hot water, and the staff were terrible. They seemed annoyed that I was late getting to the hotel. From the moment I walked in, the musty smell made me think I'd made a mistake. The “SPA” was more like a “SPALLORAR.” I can't think of anything redeeming about the place and wouldn't recommend it under any circumstances. 👎

We came without planning ahead and found a quiet place to rest, with a pool behind the main square and parking that worked well. The neighborhood is ugly, though the hotel is close to everything. It's staffed entirely by local people who were friendly and attentive. We were about to head out for breakfast when we spotted chilaquiles in the kitchen and decided to stay. They came with fried eggs and beans, plus delicious coffee, bread with butter and fig jam, and natural mango juice that felt like dessert. A good spot for rest and relaxation, but not if you're looking for a party.
