Hotel Real Da Vinci Acapulco

The air conditioning is the only good thing about the hotel. Service was mediocre at best: they didn’t replace our towels or leave toilet paper in the bathroom. The sink looks nice, but water splashes everywhere when you turn on the tap. The pool is small for a hotel this size.

I’ve had good service here sometimes, and terrible service other times. They charge for the pool, but it can be dirty and closed to guests, so you can only look at it. On my last visit, the bathroom was filthy, we were put in the wrong rooms, the service was poor, and then they wouldn’t give us towels. A sun lounger broke while we were using it.

Once we finally checked in, the bathroom had no light, so they moved us to another room. We had to ask reception for towels, there was no body wash, and the air conditioner made more noise than it did cooling. After checkout, they said the towels had to be left at reception. We were about to go upstairs to get them, but then they said, “We’ll bring them down later.” The service was terrible from the start. We called to ask if a room was available and were told, “We only have one room for $900 pesos a night,” so we decided to go. When we arrived around midnight, reception said it would be $800 pesos if we were only staying that night. I overheard the manager say they had more than three rooms available. I don’t recommend this hotel.

The room was spacious, but the TV never worked. They kept saying they’d fix it, and nothing happened. It was only partly clean, with a clump of hair stuck halfway down the bathroom door. They provide no sheets beyond the ones covering the mattress, and some of those were torn and full of holes. This would be one of my last choices if I booked again.
