Those pools were excellent, even with a big crowd arriving on our last weekend, and the grounds gave our dog room to run loose. My wife and I were driving around Mexico with him, and this place was super dog-friendly. That alone would get five stars from me. The room was fine except for a damp, musty smell we couldn’t get rid of. Most of the staff were very good, especially the concierges and parking assistants, who were brilliant. We ate at two of the three restaurants. Both served buffet meals only, though the buffets themselves were very good. I gave the location three stars instead of four because the hotel is beside the airport and not on a beach. At checkout, the price I’d booked for the resort had nearly doubled with the 1,500 peso per night dog fee and 600 peso per night parking charge.

The expo venue is only 200m from the lobby, and breakfast had a very nice range of local specialties. The hotel itself is beautiful and BIG. I stayed for the mining expo in November 25, and it was clear that the 23 hurricane had left water damage in other parts of the building. My room was spacious and clean, but smelled musty and felt very damp. The pool was excellent, and the gym was surprisingly well equipped for a hotel.

The pools are nice, and I loved the huge Jacuzzi. Some rooms look out over the ocean, but there’s no beach access. The location is ideal if you’re going to an event at the convention center, right across the street. La Isla Mall is close by too, though sadly Liverpool is the only place open at the moment and most of the mall feels like a ghost town.

We’re back for our second visit and happy with everything. The facilities are the best, and the service was good. Shuttle buses take you to Scala beach, Princess or Pierre, so you can enjoy the beach with the kids 🏖️
