Everything else about the stay was perfect. There was just an odd smell in the hotel, apparently coming from the factory behind it.

For what I paid, I expected at least a small refrigerator in the room. It didn't feel like good value for the money.

The rooms need some attention: the cooling isn't very effective, and some furniture seems old or dusty, though everything was very clean. I really liked the breakfast, and the shared spaces are great too, with a pool, bar, and lounge. The hotel is beside a mall with restaurants and is often full of business employees.

I was very disappointed with how staff handled this. There was a large spider, about 1.5 inches, and a cockroach that was still moving in my room. When I asked at the front desk to switch rooms, they said I'd have to wait until I got back from work. I filed a complaint afterward and got practically nothing in response. The customer service was poor.

The people working here were the best part, especially the two young professionals who helped make my Sunday brunch fantastic. I'll remember them for life. The standard rooms were comfortable and did what I needed, and the bar and reception lounges are extraordinary. It has that old-school feel in the best way, with quality materials and great attention to detail. I've stayed at hundreds of Marriott's and Biz Hotels in around 50 countries, and this is among the best. The price was very competitive compared with many overpriced Marriotts.
