Hotel Lindo Ajijic B&B

The sunset views toward Lake Chapala were incredible, and the hotel is close to restaurants and the lakeshore. We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Lindo Ajijic. It's a charming boutique B&B with quiet, comfortable rooms, rustic-modern design, and genuinely warm service. The pool and outdoor jacuzzi are great for relaxing. We'll be back!

The room itself was spacious, with a comfortable bed, reliable A/C, a large TV, fast Wi-Fi, and steady hot water. The lobby was bright and welcoming, breakfast was standard, and having parking on site was a real plus. The main reason I came was to use the pool, but after staff assured me it would be available, they later said it wasn't, so I couldn't use it. I was also frustrated that they didn't take card payments and I had to make a manual transfer. At 8 PM the bar had no food or snacks, and again couldn't process cards. The hot tub was visibly old and in poor repair, which raised hygiene concerns for me. These repeated problems point to a need for better maintenance and operations.

NOT satisfied. The pleasant patio, landscaping, and view were nice, and breakfast was good, but the property felt worn out and needed a deep clean and refurbishment. There were dead plants in our courtyard. Staff were friendly but didn't take initiative with service. Spanish was the only language spoken, which seems inadequate for the nightly rate and the many international guests there during our stay. Booking.com reviews describe issues from over two years ago that still seem unresolved. Maybe the owner doesn't care to fix them.

We loved the snack bar food, which was fresh, tasty, and convenient enough that we could stay in and relax all weekend. The attentive staff made sure we had what we needed. Hotel Lindo Ajijic has a cozy, intimate atmosphere and is a lovely, picturesque place for a peaceful adults-only getaway. The service and setting made it a great escape, and we'd absolutely come back.
