Alamos Hotel Colonial

The included breakfast was a generous fruit plate with toast, coffee, and juice. The courtyard has comfortable furniture that makes it easy to linger and spend time together. The rooftop is just as inviting, with heaters, table lamps, comfy seating, and a view over the city. You can choose a quiet corner or a more social spot. Scarves for the ladies hang neatly on the spiral staircase railing on the way up. A nice touch. Beautiful and very traditional.

The rooms looked bigger in the pictures than they really are. On Friday, we went to the manager's reception on the roof and were charged for the drinks and pizza. We thought at least the first round of drinks would be free. We also asked for eggs at breakfast, and were charged for the whole meal. The owner recommended a lunch place, so we walked more than a mile to get there, only to find a delightful restaurant right next to the hotel. It made us wonder.

We stayed here while looking for a house because we're moving to Alamos. The location is perfect, right by the plaza, and the rooftop restaurant serves incredible pizza with an amazing view. The included breakfast felt like having your mom cook for you, and the rooms are breathtaking. For what you get, it's very affordable: an exquisite hacienda with staff who are unmatched. I can't say enough good things about our friends at Hotel Colonial. Highly recommend it.

The breakfast room is amazingly beautiful, and the woman serving breakfast was the most hospitable, friendly person I've met so far. It was such a good experience that we didn't realize until the second morning that the eggs were powdered. Please address this!
