I liked looking out over the lagoon, but the stay was frustrating. After check-in, I couldn't get online and had no soap or towels, and the host disappeared. The three parrots caged nearby were really loud. Towels, soap, and the right WiFi password finally turned up the next morning, though the internet stopped working again that afternoon.

For what it costs, the room was fantastic. It’s a great place, and the family were really friendly 👍

The price and service are both beaten by other places.

The manager did apologize and seemed genuinely sorry about what happened. Still, I wouldn’t recommend the place. If you’re up for an adventure, travelers, that’s your call.

Casa del Jaibo would get zero stars from me if that were an option. The bathroom was filthy, with mold on the walls and cobwebs, and there were leaks. Part of the ceiling was coming down, there was no TV signal, and the price was way too high for the condition of the place.
